When is the last time you broke out your Nintendo 3DS? Chances are that your Nintendo 3DS is like third or fourth on your gadget of choice depth chart these days. Well Nintendo is looking to change that with a new feature that will be rolling out in a couple of days (February 6th to be exact).
Nintendo has quietly created almost thirty thousand “Nintendo Zones” across the country where users can access free content in the form of videos or games. This concept is very cool but has not really caught on like Nintendo had hoped and because of that they are now bring out the big guns.
POKEMON
Users will now be able to access and watch complete episodes of the Pokemon television show when connected in a zone. Users will also be treated to a dedicated section where you can catch up on your Pokemon news and get information on the latest happenings and what is new in the Pokemon trading card world.
Nintendo is trying to create some buzz by associating with the mega brand Pokemon in an effort to bring their social app community to the next level. Will Pokemon prove to have the magic formula to spur growth?
